The 2014 Bedford Blues & BBQ Festival included the first-ever Kroger Battle of the BBQ in which local “back yard” BBQ amateur competitors participated in a peoples’ choice competition.

Attendees sampled 12 local BBQ items and then voted on their favorite. Kroger representatives were  on-hand with the Bedford Mayor, to present the winning team with their award in front of a crowd of over 6,000.

The award was presented just before the legendary blues man Robert Cray and his band performed. The Mayor is a loyal Kroger customer BTW!
