Bureau Teams Up With City Of Garland For Christmas

The Sponsor Bureau and the City of Garland team up for sponsorship sales at the city’s annual Christmas on the Square. The event kicks off the holiday season by lighting a beautiful 30-foot Christmas tree adorned with 6,728 lights with an additional 50,000 lights in the Square. The event continues with children’s choirs, snow hills, ice carving demonstrations, visits with Santa Claus, a holiday market, festival food, and of course holiday magic.

What makes the holiday event unique, is the interactive tree lighting and synchronized light show with LED wristbands that make the crowd a part of the tree lighting. This new feature provides guests with LED wristbands that light up with the animated tree lighting. This has taken Garland’s annual tree lighting from a simple flip of the switch to a fifteen minute animated light show with fireworks where the gathered crowd changes colors with the lighting on the Christmas tree and downtown square.
